ROOTS MECHANICAL SUPERCHARGER
The Supercharger, also known as the Roots compressor, is a mechanical supercharger that uses the energy of the crankshaft for its own drive. It is the main element of mechanical pressurization. The main functional advantage of the supercharger is that it can pump air at minimum speed, absolutely without delay, while the increase in the boost force is strictly proportional to the engine speed. The Roots mechanical supercharger is available in the SRT Hellcat, SRT Hellcat Redeye and Super Stock versions.
