Ford is developing a Bronco-based pickup truck. Its debut is expected closer to 2030. The new model will expand the Bronco family and become a direct competitor to the Jeep Gladiator, just as the SUV competes with the Jeep Wrangler.

The pickup will be built at Ford’s plant in Michigan. The hybrid Bronco is also expected to be produced there and could arrive for the 2028 model year. Ford is also planning a compact van in gasoline and hybrid versions, with production potentially starting in Ohio in 2029.

Interest in the Bronco remains high: 146,000 of these SUVs were sold in the U.S. in 2025. The new pickup should strengthen the brand’s position in the versatile off-road vehicle segment.
